If you’re looking to escape the heat into an air-conditioned, educational space, the Museum of Vancouver’s new exhibit, All Together Now: Vancouver Collectors and Their Worlds, is just the activity for you.

I’ve gone to all of MOV’s recent exhibits and, honestly, this one is my favourite so far. It’s incredibly cool, there are tons of things to see and do, and the history and culture of Vancouver are intertwined throughout the many displays.

Tacofino Yaletown and Lucky Taco Open in Vancouver!

There was a time in the city, not too long ago, when good taco joints were few and far between. In the last few years though, there has been a flurry of openings. This summer is no exception. My boyfriend and I, especially in the summer, love going for tacos. It’s a fairly inexpensive meal, we have an excuse for margaritas, and it’s a fun, laid-back eating experience!

Two recent openings are definite must-visits when a taco craving hits.

Surreal: A Roaming Theatre Experience in Vancouver’s Gastown

During Surreal, I felt like I was deliciously eavesdropping on a conversation as it unfolded. This new play explores romance and twenty-something dilemmas, all in the winding streets and alleys of Gastown. The interactive theatre experience would make for a great date, perhaps preceded or followed by a meal or drink in the area.
