In most years, Vancouver celebrates Earth Day with festivals and a parade. While there are no planned events this year, it’s easy to plan your own celebration. It’s a Party for the Planet on Earth Day in Vancouver!

On Saturday, April 22, 2017 we celebrate Earth Day, the largest secular observance in the world, celebrated by more than a billion people every year. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day events take place in more than 190 countries around the world to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

So, this coming Earth Day – take a few seconds to yourself in some nature and reflect on how great it is to be living on earth these days! Because, you never know when we’ll all be trapped on Mars…

In Vancouver, there are several celebrations in honour of the Earth, including a parade and an Adults Night at Science World. Check out a few of the Earth Day themed events below!
