Celebrate the Year of the Pig at the 46th Annual Chinatown Spring Festival Parade on Feb 10, 2019

Vancouver’s vibrant Chinatown will be hosting several free Chinese New Year celebrations this year. Most notably, the 46th Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Parade will mark the beginning of the Year of the Pig!

For nearly 50 years, the Chinese New Year Parade has been the signature event of Vancouver’s Chinatown. Featuring lion dances, cultural dance troupes, marching bands, martial arts performances, and so much more, this festival is not to be missed!

The parade will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Downtown Vancouver, and will begin at 11:00am.

2018 Chinese New Year Parade Celebrates the Year of the Dog

The annual cultural extravaganza that is the Chinese New Year Parade will be returning for its 45th year on Sunday, February 17, 2018. This signature event of Vancouver’s Chinatown will feature lion dances, cultural dance troupes, marching bands, martial arts performances and much more.

The parade is a major part of the Lunar New Year Festival, a regional event celebrating Spring, Chinese New Year and traditional Asian New Year celebrations taking place in Vancouver and Richmond.
