Rest assured: there will be no vampires in the vicinity during Metro Vancouver’s seventh annual Garlic Festival.
The festival takes place on Sunday, August 23, with plenty of garlicky treats and garlic-themed fun. This year, the family-friendly event is bigger than ever since The Sharing Farm has combined forces with Chefs to the Field for their annual fundraiser.
The celebration of the stinking rose features a farmers market, workshops on growing garlic, cooking demonstrations, farm tours, a beer garden, music, and more.
A chef’s competition will showcase the creative things you can do with garlic, and attendees can try all sorts of pungent edibles–including garlic ice cream (yes, ice cream.)
