If you’ve never tried it, trail running can seem a little intimidating. Unlike smooth sidewalks, uneven trails have lots of obstacles. And in Vancouver’s mountains, the trails are often really hilly! Ready to Get Muddy? Trail Running in Vancouver

To describe me as fleet of foot would be a grave injustice to all those with feet!  My hiking style could best be characterized as a “passionate saunter”. Granted, my fitness level isn’t what it used to be but, in all honesty; I prefer to stop and smell the roses, communing with nature along the way.  Last spring, while hiking the infamous Chief in Squamish, I distinctly remember being overtaken by a runner.  This incredible human specimen was literally running up and down the Chief. I stopped and stared in sheer disbelief.  My curiosity was peaked, and I became determined to explore the world of Trail Running.
