Revitalizing Vancouver’s Chinatown: A Cultural, Retail, and Dining Destination
The Vancouver Chinatown Foundation’s highly anticipated Chinatown Storytelling Centre (168 E Pender Street), located in the heart of Chinatown, officially opens on Friday, November 5, 2021. This purpose-built space presents the stories of early Chinese immigrants, whose legendary resilience reshaped not only their own lives, but played a critical role in the building of Canada.
The Vancouver Chinatown Foundation and the Vancouver Chinatown Business Improvement Area Society (VCBIA) are gearing up to launch the inaugural Light Up Chinatown! celebration this weekend. The two-day event runs September 11 and 12, 2021 with a full slate of live performances, family-fun activities, exclusive food collaborations, and beautiful displays of lanterns and lights.
