The best part of the holiday season is that calories don’t count (at least that’s what I tell myself)! After all, it’s the time of year for cookies exchanges, annual fruit cake, and decadent seasonal desserts in restaurants and pâtisseries around town. It’s enough to make anyone lose the Grinch spirit!

Vancouver Christmas Market Boasts over 75 Vendors for this Year’s Festivities

The Vancouver Christmas Market transforms Jack Poole Plaza into a holiday wonderland.

There are just 40 days left until Christmas! If you’re already feeling the holiday spirit and can’t wait to start decorating your tree, you’ll be excited to know that the Vancouver Christmas Market is setting up shop again from November 22 to December 24, 2017.

Based on the centuries-old tradition of Christkindlmarkts in Germany, the Vancouver Christmas Market brings a European-inspired Christmas village to Jack Poole Plaza for the holiday season. For 2017, the festive, family-favourite is back with one of its largest celebrations to date, boasting more than 75 huts full of sweets, treats, and treasures to enjoy – all with a glass of Glühwein (mulled wine) in hand!

Massive, New Christmas Maze Coming to Vancouver in November

Now that summer is officially over, the countdown to Christmas can begin! Vancouver will be getting into the holiday spirit in a big way this year with the introduction of an exciting new seasonal activity.

Starting this November, Enchant 2016 will be bringing the world’s largest Christmas light maze to the Olympic Village area, combined with a bustling local vendor market, live performances, warming seasonal eats and drinks, an outdoor fire pit, and much more.

Enchant 2016 will be joining the Vancouver Chistmas Market (which will be relocating to Jack Poole Plaza) as a new holiday tradition for locals and visitors alike.

The Vancouver Christmas Market Relocates to Jack Poole Plaza This November

A treasured holiday tradition for locals and visitors alike, the Vancouver Christmas Market announced today that it will be moving from its original site at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza to its new, expansive seaside home at Jack Poole Plaza (at the Olympic Cauldron). Running November 26 – December 30, 2016, the city’s signature yuletide celebration will expand its revelry with more than 50,000 square feet of space and over 70 huts in which to savour the abundance of authentic German flavours.
