Vancouver’s Italian Day is Back on Sunday, June 10th

This Sunday, Vancouver’s iconic Commercial Drive will come alive with festive and vibrant colours in celebration of the ninth annual Italian Day on the Drive. The day will feature authentic Italian food, music, fashion and entertainment.

Recognized on the City of Vancouver’s list of ‘Official Celebrations’, ranked as of one of Canada’s largest urban street festivals, and labelled in most circles as the social event of the season, this year’s Italian Day is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors.

Taiwanese Puppet Festival comes to Vancouver

Thrilling hand-to-hand combat – between puppets? That’s one thing to expect at the Ouxi Taiwanese Puppetry Festival, which comes to the Museum of Anthropology (6393 NW Marine Drive) Nov. 4-9.  The festival features two visiting puppetry groups, including Chin Fei Feng Marionette Theatre Troupe and the Taiyuan Puppet Theatre, in performances that will bring the excitement of traditional Taiwanese puppetry to audiences of all ages.
