Throne and Games: The Last Laugh.

Seems like you can’t swing a dead dragon these days without hearing about the season finale of Game of Thrones. Leave it to Vancouver TheatreSports to bring back their popular improv version of the HBO series with Throne and Games—The Last Laugh.

The show runs April 26 – June 15 (Thurs-Sat) at the Improv Centre on Granville Island. See below to find out more.

2018 Vancouver Pillow Fight Scheduled for Saturday, April 7

How often can you say that you were in a pillow fight with hundreds of other people? On Saturday, April 7, 2018, head down to the Vancouver Art Gallery (Robson side) to take part in the annual Vancouver Pillow Fight! It’s a half hour of mayhem, feathers, and onesies. What more could you ask for?

The annual Vancouver pillow fight is part of the International Pillow Fight Day, where similar battles happen around the world. Cities including Barcelona, Chicago, Hong Kong, Sochi, Vienna will be joining those in Vancouver for massive pillow fights to celebrate the occasion.

Card game makes fun of Vancouver traditions like _______ and __________.

One of Vancouver’s hardest-working improv troupes has released a new party game that makes fun (with love, of course) of our fair city.

Created by the Fictionals Comedy Co., Cards Against Vancouver is a spin-off of the hugely popular Cards Against Humanity game. The Fictionals recruited dozens of Vancouver comedians and comedy fans to create the game, which is free to download, print and play. And the troupe will officially launch the game Dec. 20 at the Rio Theatre (1660 E. Broadway) as part of its monthly show Improv Against Humanity.

With Halloween just over a week away, thrift stores are filled with last-minute revellers. Along with the panic of finding a costume, there’s also the question of how best to spend these days (and nights) leading up to the event.

If you think there should be more to Halloween than Rosemary’s Baby and a dark pumpkin ale, here are a few ideas—including whale sounds near a cemetery, an immersive haunted house, and Edgar Allen Poe (or a reasonable facsimile) improvising poems.

Join the Pants-Less Party at the No Pants Skytrain Ride on Jan 8

If you happen to be riding the skytrain on Sunday, January 8, 2017 and people start taking off their pants… Don’t worry, this is completely normal… sort of.

The official No Pants Skytrain Ride is coming back to confuse and bewilder people on the Vancouver skytrain (and hopefully cause a few laughs). On January 8, 2017 you’re invited to take your pants off and take a ride on the skytrain with the folks from Vancouver Improv Anywhere.
