Spring and fall are my favourite seasons in Vancouver since I love the vibrancy of the natural colours from the changing environment. I’ve been waiting (not too patiently) for the explosion of cherry blossoms and, finally, was rewarded this month.

In this Instagram age, the first thing I want to do is reach for my camera or my cell phone, but I often find I’m not doing enough justice to the blossomy scene. If you’re like me, Vancouver Photowalks has a roaming cherry blossom workshop that just might be the thing for you!

Olympic Village is one of the most picturesque spots in Vancouver, featuring sweeping views of Science World, BC Place, and the downtown Vancouver skyline. While the waterfront community is the perfect spot to grab some lunch, stroll along the seawall, and snap photos of the landscape, it is also a great place to have a little photo walk fun with kids!

Vancouver Civic Theatres opens their doors for an engaging open house at the Orpheum. The event is being held Saturday, September 26 from 1pm – 4pm. Enter through the historic Granville Street entrance and box office.

Vancouver’s favourite concert hall, a Canadian National Historic Site and home to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Orpheum shines with old world glamour and stories of Vancouver’s entertainment past, present and future.
