The old Boneta space at 1 Cordova Street will come to life this weekend with Beggars Banquet, a pop-up flea market with cash bar, June 15 – 16.

This is not your typical antique fair or sample sale. Like its neighbours in the edgy Gastown retail and design district, Beggars Banquet is a carefully curated selection of goods for all types of collectors, from vintage clothing fiends to those after new clothing labels, curios, records, skateboards, home decor and hand-crafted goods.

Named after The Rolling Stones’ 1968 album, Beggars is the see-and-be-seen Gastown weekend social event. It has enjoyed immense popularity since it launched in January 2012. The market this weekend is the fifth Beggars Banquet event, taking place 6pm to 11pm Friday, and 11am to 6pm Saturday.
