Great Deals at Mount Seymour: Ladies Ride Free & Kids Ski Free Starting in January 2012

As Remy made evident in his post on skiing and snowboarding in Vancouver, easy access to nearby mountains is one of the best things about living in Vancouver. And hitting the slopes close to home just got much less expensive, too, with two great deals from Mount Seymour starting this month: Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free & Kids Ski Free.

Mount Seymour’s Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free is a new name for their 6th annual Guys Night Out, Girls Ride Free event: From January 9 – March 12, 2012, ladies ride free every Monday night starting at 6pm. Presented by Granville Island Brewery, Shred for the Cure is both a fundraiser for the BC Cancer Foundation and a great way to grab a group of friends, enjoy the slopes, and have fun, too. The Monday-night event includes food and drink specials at the Rock Chute Inn and nightly prize drawings at 9pm.

The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, the first of its kind outside of China, is an authentic representation of an age – old garden tradition which reached its peak in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Garden is characteristic of the private spaces within a Ming scholar’s residence. With its asymmetrical arrangement of rocks and plants, its winding paths and corridors, and the vistas that overlook its courtyards, the Garden emulates the rhythms of nature.
