The Caribbean Days Festival is happening this weekend in North Vancouver, and what a weekend for it! If you close your eyes and sit in the sun, you can easily imagine being surrounded by white sand beaches and palm trees fluttering in the breeze.

Luckily, you won’t be needing a plane ticket to experience the Caribbean lifestyle and party atmosphere, all you need is a ride over to the North Shore.

Caribbean-Style Carnival Comes to North Vancouver, July 28-29

Ready to spice up your summer?

The 25th annual Caribbean Days Festival is coming to North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park July 28-July 29.  The largest Caribbean event in the Lower Mainland, the festival draws tens of thousands of people during a weekend of tropical rhythms, cuisine and culture.

Things kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, with the Multicultural Street Parade, a carnival-style celebration with costumed revelers dancing down the streets of North Vancouver.  The 1.5-hour parade marches down Lonsdale Avenue, turning west on Esplanade on its way to Waterfront Park (adjacent Lonsdale Quay).

Then the fun really starts.
