Airline lets Vancouver Passengers Choose Seatmates on Facebook

If you fly often enough, chances are you’ve had the seatmate from Hell:  the guy who won’t stop talking; the baby that won’t stop crying; the little old lady who insists on showing you each and every photo of her 11 Pomeranians.

But what if you could turn the tables?  What if you could preview your potential seatmates in advance and choose one you actually like?

That’s the idea behind an unique initiative recently launched by KLM airlines called Meet & Seat.  Passengers in certain test markets, including Vancouver, have the option of using Facebook and LinkedIn profiles to select the seatmate of their dreams.
