CONTEST ALERT! Win a Pair of Tickets to See “Spinosaurus”, an Unforgettable National Geographic Live! Presentation

Spinosaurus is the largest predatory dinosaur ever discovered – even bigger than our friend Tyrannosaurus Rex – and it has a harrowing history that will send shivers down your spine. This fall, hear the fascinating tale for yourself at engaging speaker series National Geographic Live!, which kicks off on October 10 at The Orpheum Theatre.

We’re giving away two pairs of tickets to the Spinosaurus show. Leave a comment below to enter. The two winners will be contacted October 3rd. Good luck!

Spinosaurus will be hosted by engaging paleontologist Nizar Ibrahim, who will share how the beast’s fossils were nearly destroyed in the Allied bombing of Germany during World War II. Luckily, savvy paleontologists and contemporary scientists – including Ibrahim himself – have been able to reconstruct a full skeletal model of Spinosaurus, which is on display at the National Geographic Museum.

Throughout the evening, Ibrahim will bring to light what makes this ancient monster so unique, aside from its epic size. His presentation will be supplemented by incredible video that recreates the lost world of the Cretaceous Era Sahara – sure to enthrall viewers of all ages. This must-see event isn’t just for dino fans: it’s also for lovers of history, paleontology, archaeology and extremely immersive storytelling.

The Spinosaurus show is part of a collaboration between National Geographic Live and Vancouver Civic Theatres to bring four of National Geographic’s most entertaining explorers to The Orpheum Theatre. Spinosaurus kicks off this unique speaker series on October 10 at 7pm, with the others taking place February 27, March 12, and May 7, of 2019.
