For some reason, watching two (or more!) people beat each other up has long been a popular form of entertainment. Since the days of Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock (before he was a famous movie star) and now with a re-emerging popularity – perhaps, in part thanks to Glow on Netflix, wrestling is making a comeback.

You don’t need to tell the stars from the ECCW that. Otherwise known as the Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling, the ECCW is the Pacific Northwest’s premiere indie wrestling federation – and it’s coming to the Commodore Ballroom this weekend. Yes, you read the correctly, a wrestling match in a ballroom! Get ready for one riotous night out!

ECCW Vancouver 2019

The next big bash is being held over two nights this weekend (January 11 – 12, 2019) at the Commodore Ballroom and it’s going to be epic.

Even if you have no ideas about the inside jokes, the ongoing rivalries, or the backstories, every ECCW event is easy to understand – people beat each other up for your entertainment. Awesome!

What keeps the show entertaining is the raging energy from the crowd – encouraging the performers to go hard or go home. Once you go to one show, you’re never going to be able to stay away from the madness!
