Vancouver Aquarium Easter Scavenger Hunt   Did you know the protective casings around shark eggs are called mermaid’s purses? Join the Vancouver Aquarium’s Easter Scavenger Hunt, and you’ll learn all about mermaid’s purses, as well as a host of other aquatic creatures and their eggs. During the event, you’ll follow clues crafted by Aquarium eggs-perts through the venue’s distinctive galleries. Successful hunters will receive a chocolate treat and be entered to win a prize. The event takes place between Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, and also features special programming and shows.

VanDusen Botanical Garden Eggciting Easter Hop  Perfect for younger kids, this family affair invites visitors to scour for eggs near the Garden’s maze area, hop about to lively music and take a selfie with the Easter Bunny, among other activities. Bunny attire is encouraged, as prizes will be awarded for best costume. Rumbling tummies can be tamed at the onsite food trucks, after which visitors can explore the 55-acre gardens at their own pace. The event runs between Friday, April 19 and Sunday, April 21; check the website for event times.

There will also be an Easter craft station, carnival games, a Bunny Burrow Maze, and an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself. Parents can also take their smallest bunnies to the Toddler Zone. Township 7 is going all-out for their event, which includes a petting zoo, face painting, live entertainment, and an egg hunt in the vines with prizing for all participants. All guests can fuel up at the onsite food truck, while older visitors can whet their palates with plenty of wine samples (in fact, the winery’s weekend-long Easter Wine & Chocolate Pairing event offers four wine samples paired with vegan chocolates). The event takes place on Sunday, April 21.

Easter Egg Gathering + Brunch at Sea to Sky Gondola  Reservations are required for this sumptuous Easter brunch hosted at the Sea to Sky Gondola’s Summit Lodge (think goat cheese frittatas, smoothie bowls, cinnamon buns and Easter cookies). However, if you missed the two seatings, there are plenty of alternative activities to keep you busy. Kids of all ages can gather Easter eggs along the Summit Trails, visiting whimsical woodland characters to collect their chocolates. Arts and crafts will be offered at the Summit Lodge, as well as face painting, and snacks will be provided on the outdoor plaza.

After all that Easter inspo, we can’t wait to celebrate with the Big Bunny. And if any of your plans require reservations, hop to it!
