With the final long weekend of the summer coming up and back to school happening next week, it feels like we’re creeping closer to the fall season… (Sorry!)

You may have already noticed this if you’ve attempted to buy a new pair of sandals or a beach towel and instead been confronted with Thanksgiving decorations and Halloween costumes. (Fun fact: there are only 63 days until Halloween!)

So, it’s fitting that the Vancouver Morgue is getting into the spirit of things by kicking off the 2019 season of their popular Movies in the Morgue film series.

This year, the Vancouver Morgue has a season of cult classic horror films, thrillers, and comedies that will put you in the festive mood for the creepiest season of the year.

In case you aren’t aware, Movies in the Morgue is exactly what you think it is. On the second Tuesday night of each month, the Old City Morgue in the Vancouver Police Museum hosts movie screenings right outside the original autopsy suite. Great for fans of classic movies and for a unique date night idea (although, maybe not first date night).

Movies in the Morgue are so popular that the events sell out quickly. But, don’t despair, there is a waitlist available for each movie, so if you’re really hoping to see one of the showings, you can add your name into the list to get your chance to see the show.

For 2019 and 2020, the schedule includes:
