A new pop-up dining experience is coming to Vancouver this January. Dinner with a View is a touring dining adventure that offers a unique winter picnic under the sky.

From January 15 until February 16, you’re invited to make a reservation in your own dome, situated on the lovely Ambleside Beach area in West Vancouver. Shielded from the elements, you’ll be able to enjoy one of your most memorable meals in a fun and intimate setting.

Could this be the most wholesome event of the year in Vancouver?

Are you ready for an afternoon of cuteness in the name of literacy? The Vancouver Public Library is hosting a “Canine Library” this Saturday, September 14th from 1 to 3 pm.

The free event will allow participants to “check out” a dog and read the dog their favourite poem during a 15-minute session – leaving plenty of time for some belly rubs and back scratches as well.

With the final long weekend of the summer coming up and back to school happening next week, it feels like we’re creeping closer to the fall season… (Sorry!)

You may have already noticed this if you’ve attempted to buy a new pair of sandals or a beach towel and instead been confronted with Thanksgiving decorations and Halloween costumes. (Fun fact: there are only 63 days until Halloween!)

So, it’s fitting that the Vancouver Morgue is getting into the spirit of things by kicking off the 2019 season of their popular Movies in the Morgue film series.

Last year, the Lower Mainland hosted its first-ever Sunflower Festival in Chilliwack from the owners of the massively popular Tulip Festival.

This year, there is not only one but two sunflower festivals to choose from!

The Chilliwack Sunflower Festival is running again for an amazing afternoon in the country, just an hour+ drive away from Downtown Vancouver. Not to be outdone, there is also a new, simultaneous sunflower festival happening in Richmond, still spectacular but a little closer to the city.

Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to have an amazing time courtesy of the Public Disco. These events work to connect participants through music and dancing in unique public spaces on August 10, 31, and September 29.
