Beach season is over so it’s time to indulge! This month, there are plenty of events happening around town that will be sure to delight any food and drink connoisseur.

There’s a fun mix of flavours in store for October, including a one-day-only drag brunch, a fun mixture of wine and yoga, and a festival focused on the outstanding cuisine from Asian countries.

Taste of Yaletown 2019

When: October 17 – 27, 2019

Where: Various locations in Yaletown

During Taste of Yaletown, diners can sample featured menus, special tastings, and innovative pairings at participating restaurants in the neighborhood.

Similar to the popular Dine Out Vancouver event, Taste of Yaletown gives you the opportunity to select special offerings from restaurants, each with a special offering at $35, $45 or $55.

FEAST Asian Dining Festival

When: October 18 – November 18, 2019

Where: Richmond, BC

A 32-day festival with over 30 restaurants showcasing the best Asian cuisine in the City of Richmond. Feast is all about celebrating the best of Richmond’s restaurants and sharing delicious cuisine in this mecca for Asian food. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Persian, Vietnamese, Shanghainese, Filipino, and others make up the local food scene.

Drags Benny Vancouver

When: October 20, 2019

Where: Fairmont Waterfront (900 Canada Place)

A one-of-a-kind drag brunch in support of the Vancouver Pride Society is coming to the city for one day only! This lively fundraiser will include a 3-course brunch, fun drag-inspired drinks, and other special surprises.

To add to the fun is, of course, the brunch series’ celebrity hostess, Laila McQueen of RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as a line-up of some of the B.C.’s top drag performers drag queens. This amazing line-up of talent will take the stage and work their way through the crowd while entertaining guests.

Vin Van Long Table – The BBQ One

When: October 20, 2019

Where: The Ellis Building (1024 Main Street)

Hosted by Vin Van, a wine pop-up event series that focuses on inclusive and approachable evenings centered around a love of wine.

This event is a wine-fuelled long table focused on BBQ. There will be special bottles popped, funky tunes, and a multi-course feast of North American and European inspired BBQ dishes.

Tickets are $90 and include a welcome drink, 5 course dinner, and all wine pairings. Additional wine is also available to purchase on the night.

Wine & Yoga Night

When: October 28, 2019

Where: RYU Apparel (1745 West 4th Ave)

Need a little extra motivation to head to a yoga class these days? Join this “WOGA” class for some yoga followed up with a wine tasting.

The evening starts with a 50-minute, feel-good yoga class. Afterward, you’ll get to enjoy a 60-minute wine tasting event featuring three “feel good wines” and hosted by local wine enthusiasts. Tickets to this event are $25 and include the yoga class and 3 wine pairings.
