The invitation that you and your family have been waiting for has arrived. Snow Queen Elsa and Snow Princess Anna are hosting a winter royal tea at Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.
This themed afternoon tea is sure to delight fairytale lovers of all ages.
The Hilton Vancouver Metrotown (6083 McKay Avenue, Burnaby) has added January 4, 2020, to the dates for their Royal Tea with Anna and Elsa (other dates from November 16 to December 21, 2020 are sold out).
The dazzling event encourages attendees to dress up in their most decked out princess and prince costumes as they enter the transformed space of the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown. For the afternoon (2pm to 4:30pm), Anna and Elsa will be in attendance, meeting guests, posing for photographs, and leading sing alongs (e.g. “Let It Go”) and dancing.
The fairy tale and winter themed menu includes all sorts of goodies, including a melted snowman of house-made white chocolate mousse, sweet snowflake sugar cookies, “frost bites” (scones with jam and cream), and “we finish each other’s sandwiches” (egg salad sandwiches, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, and ham and cheese sliders).
Tickets are $98 for one adult and child (plus taxes and gratuities), $180 for two adults and two children (plus taxes and gratuities), and $45 for one additional person (plus taxes and gratuities).

H Tasting Lounge (1601 Bayshore Drive) offers a “refined & delicious” afternoon tea menu ($55 per person) on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am to 4pm, featuring a shrimp salad charcoal bun, a devilled egg with wasabi and tobiko, a smoked salmon bagel, a prosciutto croissant, and of course, a freshly baked scone with confiture, vanilla butter, and Bayshore honey.
Honey Salt
Honey Salt (30 Smithe Street) hosts afternoon tea on Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays from 3pm to 5:30pm. The False Creek Tier ($32 per person) has a selection of tea sandwiches (e.g. chicken salad), scones (e.g. rosemary cheddar), and pastries (e.g. a strawberry tart). The Four Points Tier ($42 per person) also includes the Honey Salt ‘Mini’ Market with a selection of vegetables with carrot miso dip. TWG tea is served.
Notch 8 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
Notch 8 (900 West Georgia Street) always does a fabulous afternoon tea (Wednesdays through Sundays), designed around a particular theme. They’re currently offering a Spice Merchant one (e.g. think lobster pakoras and gulab jamun cheesecake) until November 17, 2019 ($65 per adult, $32.50 for children 12 and under), but are sure to dream up something special for the holiday season.
TWG Tea Salon & Boutique
The TWG Tea Salon & Boutique (1070 West Georgia Street) has two afternoon tea options: The Chic ($42 perperson) comes with hot or iced tea, scones with jelly and whipped cream, and an assortment of five finger sandwiches, such as one with smoked salmon and horseradish cream, nori, and Genmaicha furikake.
The Signature ($48 per person) comes with five assorted canapés (e.g. miso maple sablefish infused with caramel tea), as well as four petit fours (e.g. Number 12 tea infused opera cake), and a choice of macaron.
