Forty of your favourite characters cavort on the ice and with the audience in Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party. Along with the old Disney standby crew (Mickey, Minnie et al), Moana, Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) and even the ever-lovin’ Green Army Men from the Toy Story movies are in on the action. In Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party, the audience follows along as Mickey and his friends follow Captain Hook’s treasure map for clues to find Tinker Bell after he attempts to capture her magic. With each new set-piece you’ll encounter a new character, such as Miguel from Disney-Pixar’s Coco and Belle from Beauty and the Beast, as well as a clue.
The show is interactive, with “hosts” going into the audience to engage with kids (and parents).
Besides the skating, the show features acrobatics and all sorts of other gimcrackery. For instance, in Coco’s Land of the Dead, skeletons sway atop poles over the audience. In Arendelle, kids can sing along with Elsa as video projection creates a kaleidoscope of crystals to help build her ice palace. In the Beauty and the Beast segment, Belle is lifted into the sky as the enchanted chandelier comes to life high over the ice.
There are also scenes set in the worlds of Aladdin, Toy Story, and The Little Mermaid.
