The 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Festival is set to make your taste buds dance with over 100+ scrumptious and unique flavours from 44 vendors around Vancouver. Mark your calendars for January 18–February 14 and get ready to ward off winter with some hot cocoa!

When it launched in 2011, The Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival was the first city-wide festival of its kind in the world. This January it returns for its 10th year, bigger and better than ever, with Vancouver’s best chocolatiers, pastry shops, bakeries, cafes, gelato and ice cream makers coming together to make the humble hot chocolate hotter than it has ever been before. otto:

#01 THE BEE’S KNEES (Anniversary Classic)

49th Parallel Coffee (Various)

Lavender-infused hot chocolate served with a lavender and honey marshmallow cookie.

#10 – CHOCOLATE PLAYGROUND

Beaucoup Bakery (2150 Fir St.)

Inspired by childhood favourites, ‘Chocolate Playground’ is rich hot chocolate served over Banana Foster ice cream—affogato style.  Served with a Snickerdoodle cookie.

#44 – BOHEMIAN RASPBERRY (Anniversary Classic)

Earnest Ice Cream (1829 Quebec St.)

House made raspberry marshmallow drenched in a rich raspberry hot chocolate. Topped with raspberry amaretto whipped cream and a dusting of chocolate shavings.

#77 – THE LEGEND OF DARYL HANNAH* 

Mink Chocolates (863 W. Hastings St.)

A Cacao Barry 34% Zephyr white sipping chocolate served with organic, sustainable, Fraser River white sturgeon caviar and a “Mermaid’s Choice” chocolate bar.
