In 2010, the Richmond Olympic Oval hosted some of the fastest athletes in the world. In 2020 the Oval will welcome the fastest hedgehog on the planet; SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!

On Saturday, February 22, between 1:00pm – 3:00pm, join “Vancouver Television” host Sunee Samuel, and the Vancouver Television – Signature Mazda Community Cruiser, on site at the Richmond Olympic Oval as they present the Mascot from the upcoming motion picture, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, in theatres February 14.

Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

SONIC will be at the Richmond Olympic Oval to pose for photos, give away movie merchandise (quantities are limited) and to help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games.
