Snowshoe By Moonlight
Book a moonlight snowshoe tour at Grouse Mountain to experience the beauty of the snowy forest after dark. Strap on some snowshoes, click on a headlamp, and follow your guide along the trails to a viewpoint of the city below you. On the Full Moon Tour, go without your headlamp as the moon lights up your path. Or choose a New Moon Tour for the best stargazing.

Climb a Snowy Via Ferrata Route
Head to the Sea to Sky Gondola to experience a unique winter climbing experience. In Italian, via ferrata means “iron way” and the steep course consists of catwalks, bridges, and steel ladder rungs. You’ll be clipped to a steel safety cable the entire time, so you don’t need any climbing experience. The snowy views of Howe Sound and the surrounding mountains are spectacular.
Bungee Jump into a Snowy Canyon
This one is for the adrenaline junkies: Plunge 160 feet off a bridge into the Cheakamus River Canyon at Whistler Bungee. In winter, the canyon walls drip with icicles and the trees are dusted in snow.
Walk Across A Suspension Bridge Lit With Twinkling Lights
Each winter, the Capilano Suspension Bridge twinkles during Canyon Lights. The event is on until January 22 and includes lights on the popular suspension bridge, elevated skywalk, and forest trails.

Hang Out With Hundreds of Bald Eagles
Did you know that Squamish is home to one of the world’s largest populations of wintering bald eagles? Walk along the river to see how many eagles you can spot. Don’t forget to pack your binoculars!

Walk Through a Snowy Forest of Lights
Cypress Mountain’s Lights to the Lodge is an easy one-kilometer snowshoe walk to the historic Hollyburn Lodge. The old-growth forest along the way is decorated with thousands of beautiful twinkling lights.
Skate on a Mountaintop Pond
Ride the Skyride to the top of Grouse Mountain to skate on a frozen pond. The pond is open at night too, so you can skate under twinkling lights. Skating is free with your mountain admission ticket and skate rentals are $5-8.
