Recuperating from the Vancouver Pride Festival and feeling generous? Vancouver’s LGBTQ2+ community has a diverse range of groups, foundations, not-for-profits and charitable organizations devoted to education, fundraising and providing services for needs specific to our community. Vancouver Men’s Chorus Sings for LGBTQ2+ Charities at St. Paul’s Church

By Kendell Yan

As the year comes to a close and we look back at our behavior through the seasons, each and every one of us falls into either one of two categories: naughty or nice. At Christmas time there’s no denying our virtues (or lack thereof) because we know Santa Claus has been making that list. If you’re looking to repent through a boisterous sermon of song among a vaulted ceiling and stained glass, the Vancouver Men’s Chorus will be at the pulpit at St. Paul’s Anglican Church this December to sing to your fame and follies for all to hear. No, you haven’t just had a gloriously vivid dream, Bunny Yoga is a thing and it’s happening as a fundraiser for the Vancouver Rabbit Rescue on February 7th at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre. We spoke with Nina Hobbis who’s helping co-ordinate this fun event to find out more.

How did Bunny Yoga come to be?

Alas, it’s not my creation, the Small Animal Rescue Society of B.C. held a Bunny Yoga fundraiser in October and I thought that was just the most brilliant idea in the world. The Vancouver Rabbit Rescue also held a Bunny Yoga session and I just thought, “I have to go to this!” Animal groups are always having to fundraise and this is such a wonderful way to do it and the shelter animals get to be there too.  Continue reading:
