Filming in Vancouver: Riverdale, Get Shorty, Chesapeake Shores, and Gabby Duran

Riverdale will wrap production on Season 3 this week.

This week’s rundown of what’s coming and going from Vancouver’s screen scene is all about TV series.

There’s a family drama starting over on Vancouver Island just before a youth comedy about babysitting aliens calls it a wrap.

Also finishing up are Archie and the gang—but don’t worry because they’ll be back.

Filming in Vancouver: Sophia Bush in Surveillance, The InBetween, Virgin River, and Gabby Duran

Sophia Bush will star in a TV pilot for the spy thriller Surveillance.

After a hectic summer season, only two feature films—Antlers and Child’s Play—are shooting in town at the moment—and both are horrors, which is rather seasonally appropriate.

Aquaman star Jason Momoa is coming to Vancouver to head up a new TV series.

But there are lot of other things in the mix, including a new sci-fi TV series with a rising action star, a potential new TV series about warrior witches, and some productions that recently wrapped nearby in B.C.

Here’s a look at what’s been coming and going from Vancouver’s screen scene and elsewhere in the province.
