Made with Love: 10 Vancouver Bartenders Compete in National Competition for the Title of Canada’s Best BarChef

It’s no secret that some of the best bartenders in the world live and work right here in Vancouver – when they’re not winning or judging global competitions, of course. Now, you can witness a new wave of top talents compete on home turf during national bartending competition Made with Love. The interactive event – currently hosted in Canada, Mexico and Spain – challenges bartenders across the country to flex their cocktail creativity by shaking up innovative and exciting drinks judged by a panel of experts, as well as the public.

This year’s Made with Love regional finals take place on September 25 at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, between 6pm and 11pm. The night promises to be a cocktail aficionado’s liquid dream come true, complete with a thrilling contest that showcases original recipes – all of which guests are invited to taste and evaluate; select food pairings; welcome cocktail; and plenty of mingling with bartenders, judges and fellow spirit lovers.

The 10 Vancouver finalists include David Bulters with Juniper; Daniel O’Hearn with Reflections Bar at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia; Cassandra Darmanovic with Mamie Taylor’s; Chelsea Rose Schulte with Cocktails & Canapes Catering & Events; and other fresh talents. By night’s end, two winners will be crowned in the categories of Public’s Choice and Judges’ Choice, and will go on to represent Vancouver at the national finals next May, which will determine the best Barchef in Canada.

Tickets for the event cost $65, and can be purchased at Start prepping that cocktail palate!
