Three screen productions are calling it a wrap in Vancouver later this week—meaning that they’re getting that much closer to hitting a screen near you.

A romcom about a lawyer and her charming client finishes up, followed by a new horror anthology series that boasts an intriguing and varied cast of stars.

After that, a mystery drama, about a death amongst a group of high-schoolers, completes shooting its TV pilot and awaits being approved to be a full-fledged series.

For more details, here’s a quick look at what’s been filming in Vancouver.

Rachel Leigh Cook

First up, the Netflix movie Love, Guaranteed, directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Finding Steve McQueen), began shooting on October 21 and will finish up on Wednesday (November 20).

In a bid to save her small law firm, an earnest attorney, played by Rachael Leigh Cook (Perception), is forced to take on a high-paying case with a client, portrayed by Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl), who wants to sue a dating website that guarantees love.

Season 1 of this horror anthology series, executive produced by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man), will delve into creepy urban legends and folk tales from various American states, ranging from Washington and Oregon to Missouri and Florida.

Ming-Na Wen

The cast includes Christina Ricci, Ron Livingston, Ming-Na Wen, Rachel Brosnahan, Travis Fimmel, Taissa Farmiga, Asa Butterfield, and John Marshall Jones.

The following day, a TV pilot, that will also be on a forthcoming streaming service, completes principal photography.

One of Us is Lying, which began shooting on November 4, will finish up on Friday (November 22).

Based on the young-adult mystery novel by Karen M. McManus, the show will follow what happens when five high-school students enter detention but only four come out alive.

Barrett Carnahan

The cast includes Marianly Tejada, Cooper van Grootel, Barrett Carnahan, Annalisa Cochrane, Jessica McLeod, Melissa Collazo, Chibuikem Uche, Purva Bedi, JayR Tinaco, and more.

If the series is greenlit, it will be available on NBC Universal’s upcoming Peacock streaming service.

So we’ll have to wait to see if that one winds up joining Vancouver’s screen scene.
