Good Side Photo - Through the Window

While Vancouverites physically distance in each of our homes, as isolating as it can feel, it may help to know that we are all sharing a uniquely challenging moment in time together with not only Vancouver, BC or Canada, but with the whole world.

Photographer Ryan Wagner of Good Side Photo is capturing this moment in time with families, roommates, and those riding it out solo across the city with the Through the Window series. The project emphasizes that, “photography can bring different people together that may never cross paths otherwise”.

Capturing photos of people from outside their homes has taken Ryan on a walking tour though nearly every Vancouver neighborhood, talking to people in all walks of life through their windows and off their balconies. “It’s been eye-opening,” says Ryan, “to meet people who are all going through this differently”. And the result is a mosaic of people from across the city, doing their best in a global pandemic.

While we may be physically apart, we are in this together.
