End the summer off with a bang at one of Vancouver’s favourite annual traditions, the 113-year-old Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) Fair, from August 19 to September 4 at Hastings Park. Enjoy a variety of family-friendly entertainment programming, from live performances, various multimedia shows, plenty of snacks, and marquee musical acts during the last two weeks of summer vacation.

Attractions

Beyond Monet Art Exhibition – More than 400 of Claude Monet’s artworks are brought to life in this immersive and exhilarating multimedia experience refocused on the light and colour of the paintings’ landscapes.

Knights of Valour – Witness full-contact, un-choreographed, real live jousting at this thrilling show of horsemanship, bravery and chivalry. Come see medieval knights in shining armour riding into battle!

Barkade – SuperDogs celebrates the greatest video games of all time in a live-action show that’s fast-paced, interactive, heart-warming and hilarious, from Doggie Kong to Petris, Super Mario Barkers to World of Woofcraft.

Cultural Showcase – A cultural mosaic of dynamic dancers and exhilarating musical performers celebrating BC’s diverse cultural landscape.

For the Love of Drag – An energetic tribute show of legendary icons featuring a cast of drag queens who not only recreate but duplicate the likenesses of stars ranging from Freddie Mercury and Dolly to Shania, Lady Gaga, Diana Ross, and more.

Dinosaurs Around the World –  This captivating outdoor exhibition whisks visitors back in time on a dinosaur adventure and a tour of prehistoric Earth.

The Market – Visit the indoor shopping hub with over 90 vendors, from soaps, bed sheets, massage cushions, skin care, and cleaning supplies to exciting new products like visual art pieces and bespoke jewelry.

Fair Food

A highlight of the fair is all the different kinds of eats and treats to choose from a variety of vendors. This year’s PNE Fair Food lineup includes plenty of options for $10 or less, including:

  • Rocky Point Ice Cream – Chicago popcorn ice cream for $5.24/scoop
  • Twisted Potato Express/Tornado Potato – twisted potato on a stick for $10
  • The Little Donut Bakery – snack-size little donuts for $4
  • Taco Nori – California nori taco for $10
  • Summerland Soft Serve – soft serve or pineapple whip for $6.67
  • Praguery – ice cream sundae for $8.50

Summer Concert Nights

PNE Fair guests will enjoy some sensational performances from a diverse mix of emerging acts and nostalgic crowdpleasers. From TLC, Boyz II Men, and Billy Idol to Jason Derulo, Yung Gravy, and Canada’s own Billy Talent, Walk Off the Earth, and Blue Rodeo,  Summer Concert Nights promises a stellar lineup of pop music, rock and roll, and R&B.
