If you have a love affair with beer, it’s time to celebrate this Valentine’s Day with a tour hosted by Vancouver Brewery Tours. The tour connects couples (or beer-loving singles) to the heart of the city’s booming craft-beer community for an exclusive “For the Love of the Craft” Valentine’s-themed tour on Sunday, February 14 from noon until 3:30pm.
If you and your loved one aren’t fans of chocolate and red wine, this is the perfect answer that will make you both… hoppy!
With Valentine’s Day falling on the weekend this year, you’ll have more time to enjoy each other’s company with an exclusive beer-tasting tour. You can always make your own tour of the craft breweries on Main Street or in East Van, but going with a tour company offers the benefit of transportation between breweries, a guaranteed spot for tasting, and behind-the-scenes tours.
‘For the Love of the Craft’ begins with a stop at Big Rock Urban Brewery, where guests can set the mood with beer samples and an appetizer before continuing on to Storm Brewing, where the brewmasters will serve up a variety of Valentine’s-themed beer made especially for the day. The tour wraps up on a sweet note as guests are treated to a unique tasting that combines chocolates from renowned chocolatier Thomas Haas with select brews from Strange Fellows Brewing.
While on tour, you’ll get to visit 3 breweries in about 3.5 hours and get behind the scenes brewery tours. Brewery staff and our guides will introduce you to the brewing process where you’ll get to see how your favourite craft beers are made.
Best of all, the brewery staff will be expecting the tour and will have plenty of craft beer samples for you to sip during your visit. Between each brewery, you’ll be on the road with professional guides who will share fun facts about the Vancouver beer scene, and also about the iconic neighbourhoods you’ll be visiting.
There are only a few spots left, so sign up soon! More information and reservations for the tour are available on the Vancouver Brewery Tours website.
