Summer in the city is in full swing, and we’ve got a lot on the go for our Vancouverites and visitors alike! There some great events that will get you out and about to enjoy our spectacular views and restaurants – and possibly try something new!

Bucket List Challenge (Until Sep 15)

How does a perfect summer in Vancouver look like? With plenty of beautiful locations to discover and explore, getting outside is likely top of the list! Whether you want to spend your days hiking, biking or swimming, there’s so much experience. Beast Free Supper Club at MeeT in Gastown (Aug 2)

Dine, connect and be part of the conversation at this plant-based dinner hosted by Vancouver brand Native Shoes at popular vegan eatery MeeT’s Gastown location. Expect an off-menu, specially crafted plant-based dining experience. Your ticket will include 2 drink tickets, and all attendees will walk away with a gift from Vancouverite favourite local brands. Speakers will include nutritionist Kate Horsman, Live Kindly’s Jodi Monelle, animal rights lawyer Anna Pippus, and plant-based super athlete Mandy Gill. Wanderlust Festival (Aug 2-5, annual)

Experience the world’s leading yoga and meditation instructors, musicians, speakers, chefs and more at the annual Wanderlust Festival in Whistler! Being only a couple hours’ drive from Vancouver, Whistler is a fantastic day-trip or overnight option before coming back into the city. Check out the schedule and lineup here!

Yoga Eat Repeat (Aug 8)

Popular and internationally known Vancouver yoga teacher, Alex Mazerolle, is back in the city and bringing back her yoga dinner – this time at popular Gastown coffee shop Nelson the Seagull. This will be an all-levels class (bring your own mat), and vegan options will be available. To purchase tickets, click here.

UNITE Yoga Beach Party & Meditation (Aug 19)

Meet your Tribe! Featuring music, meditation, yoga, picnic, and play, the UNITE crew invites you to a day of raising humanity’s vibration. It’ll be a day of summer fun and connection, all at Vancouver’s spectacular Spanish Banks Beach. Bring anything you need for the ultimate beach day, including your friends and smile! Ultra Night Run (Aug 24)

The ULTRA Night Run is a timed 5k and 10k night run that follows a neon-lit course and finishes with a post-race beer garden. Each runner will receive an LED headlamp, shirt, beer ticket and a post-race meal – good deal! Meditation at lululemon Pacific Centre (Weekly)

Find your almost the weekend zen by getting ‘grounded underground’ at lululemon‘s Pacific Centre location. Meditation leads to increased happiness and productivity, so why wouldn’t you want to dovetail into Friday and the weekend on that natural high? The guided class is complimentary and runs from 8:00-8:30 am – arrive early so as not to disturb the meditation. Click here for more info.

lululemon Park Royal Pier Yoga (Weekly)

Pier Yoga is back this summer by popular demand! lululemon Park Royal is hosting complimentary yoga every Wednesday on the Burrard Dry Docks. Please bring your own mat. Water bottles will also be sold with proceeds going towards Vars/ty Initiative. Click here to register for a class. The view of Vancouver from the city from the docks is beautiful and it’s a short Seabus ride away from Downtown! I’m going in August, so maybe see you there!

Also still going on for the summer are the weekly outdoor options from Mat Collective, Peak Yoga and Goat Yoga, running group dates with MEC’s Run Crew, and Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square!
