Quick Guide to the NYE Vancouver Celebration – Vancouver’s Free New Year’s Eve Party, Dec 31

Vancouver is about to party like it’s 1992.

That’s the last time a public New Year’s Eve celebration was held in the downtown core. And it looks like this year’s bash is going to blow that one away.

NYE Vancouver is all set to take over Canada Place for a New Year’s Eve party to remember, Dec. 31.  The waterfront fete features live music, food trucks, family-friendly fun, a special paid licensed zone, not one but two countdowns, and of course some pyrotechnics to cap off the night.

The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. sharp on Canada Place Way, near the Coal Harbour waterfront, between Howe and Burrard streets. Some of the city’s hottest bands will be rocking out on the 102.7 The PEAK Stage, entertaining crowds all the way to midnight. Meanwhile, revellers can nosh on street eats from Vancouver’s top food trucks. Special exhibitions will keep the party pumping, and you can also expect plenty of on-site broadcasts from news teams covering the event.  Continue reading:
