We may be coming close to the end of the year and the holiday season, which may mean a lot of productions are either going to be calling it a wrap or going on hiatus soon.

But in the never-ending flow of Vancouver’s screen scene, a couple of new shows are actually starting up this week.

In fact, two new series—a supernatural horror-revenge thriller set in 1990s Los Angeles and a sci-fi mystery about an alien pretending to be a human—are just getting started.

Meanwhile, a number of Hollywood and Canadian stars are finishing up a feature thriller elsewhere in B.C.

Here’s a quick look at the comings and goings of screen productions around town and the province.

One stars a speedy blue hedgehog and the other revolves around an alien who wrestles with ethical questions once he blends into human society.

Meanwhile, what may be the world’s only poly romcom on TV (for some reason, it’s not a very crowded genre) is launching into production on its fourth season.
