For many, Valentine’s Day is a special occasion celebrated with romantic candlelit dinners, long-stemmed roses, and stolen kisses, but for parents with young kids, the day of love can easily shift from a day of passion, to an excuse to order in and implement early bedtimes.

Strap on some skates, grab each other’s hands, and go for a spin around the rink at Robson Square. This is your last chance to enjoy a local favourite pastime before the rink is shut down for the year. 2) Celebrate Your Love For Chocolate
Don’t just celebrate your love for one another on Valentine’s Day, celebrate your love for chocolate with a visit to Vancouver’s annual Hot Chocolate Festival. Featuring 21 participating restaurants, and 61 unique and sweet-tooth-satisfying flavours, this event will have you swooning for sweet sips while buzzing from a sugar rush. Hurry, because February 14th is the last day to enjoy the festivities. Proceeds support job training programs for the women of the downtown Eastside, so you can feel good supporting a great cause while filling up on copious amounts of cocoa.

3) Catch Odysseo Under The Big Top
Cavalia’s Odysseo is an awe-inspiring live performance featuring equestrian and acrobatic feats and high-tech theatrical effects that will have you gasping in wonder and cheering for more. 65 horses and 48 artists work together to prove that human and horse can work in unison to create crowd-pleasing performances in a safe and ethical way. Odysseo is on until March 5th.
