The Etsy Market will be returning to Vancouver for its third year this weekend to provide you with a great opportunity to browse arts, crafts, and food by local artisans. If you’re REALLY organized, perhaps this could be a first kick-off at Holiday gift shopping… Or, you could just be out to buy a nice, new little present for yourself.
This year’s market will be held in a new location at the North Vancouver Pipe Shop building near Lonsdale to provide more space for browsing. It will also be held over two days, so you’ll be able to have lots of time to check it out.
Etsy itself is sort of an online version of a giant craft fair. The market they put together is uniquely and carefully curated, and getting to see the goods in real life rather than online is a great opportunity.

The Etsy Vancouver craft market will feature a wide range of handmade and vintage goods from local crafters, artisans and collectors. There’s expected to be over 90 talented makers selling items such as art, jewellery, fashion and accessories, baked goods, home décor, skin care products, kids and baby items and more.
A full list of the vendors is located on the Etsy Vancouver website, which will give you an idea of what to search for. From wood planters, to hand-painted cards, to cat-themed clothing, you’ll be able to find something for everyone.

The hours of the event on each day will be from 10 am-5 pm, offering lots of hours browse the booths. Tickets are only $3 online or $5 at the door each day.
Bonus for all you early-risers: the market will be giving special swag bags to the first 50 people in line each day. So make sure to get there early! It’s noted on their website that the line sometimes starts at 8 am and has seen 50 people by 9 am.
If you’re looking for something to do after the market, Lonsdale Quay also offers several unique stores and food items. Plus, give yourself some extra time to grab a drink at the always excellent Green Leaf Brewing Co located nearby.
