This upcoming weekend, The Vogue Theatre will be getting into the holiday spirit and will be screening two Christmas classics to help collect for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. The movies will be shown on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11.

Admission to the movies is FREE with a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Vancouver Food Bank. Cash donations will also be accepted. Best of all, all ages are welcome – so it can be a family affair!

Locally owned and operated, the Vogue Theatre is one of the last remaining original theatres on the famed “Theatre Row”. Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, it is one of the defining architectural achievements in Vancouver since its opening in 1941.

Now over 75 years old, the Vogue continues to be a graceful reminder of Vancouver’s past history. The theatre has over 1,000 seats – so there will be plenty of room for those interested in attending the movie.

However, tickets are not available to pre-purchase, so each movie will likely be a first-come, first-served situation. There are no assigned seats, so it’s a good idea to arrive early if you want to sit with friends.

This weekend, take a trip back in time with a visit to one of Vancouver’s historical buildings. You have no excuse not to go, these movies are free to watch! The schedule for the free movies at The Vogue Theatre will be:

Saturday, December 10

  • Film: Love Actually

  • Screening: 7:30pm

  • Doors: 1:00pm
  • Screening: 1:30pm
