Owned by born and bred Vancouverite and Kitsilano resident and lululemon Global Ambassador,  Gloria Latham and her husband, Semperviva Yoga is a yoga staple in the Vancouver community. With two locations in Vancouver’s wellness and fitness mecca of Kitsilano, one near South Granville, and one at scenic Granville Island (a personal favourite of this writer!), Semperviva offers a variety of classes to suit any clientele and also have a steady stream of workshops with well-known and respected yogis from around the world. Their Kits Beach and Sun studios also have a large offering of books yoga clothing and mats and other yoga-related items in their well-stocked shops

YYOGA Vancouver

With six locations in Vancouver (Kitsilano, Yaletown, Downtown), in addition to yoga each studio offers a variety of different fitness classes. These include Pilates, TRX, spin, plus a few others, and are not all offered at each studio. The majority of their classes are taught in a warm studio, so be prepared to sweat! YYOGA also offers events and workshops around the city.

With its exclusive offering of Kundalini yoga, Kitsilano’s Yoga West is a popular spot for those seeking a traditional Kundalini class as was taught by Yogi Bhajan. Known as an uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, Kundalini is an experience for all to have in their yoga journey.

Located on 4th Ave in Kitsilano, TurF is one of the newest studios in the area. In addition to Power Yoga, they also have boxing, core, body band, and other fitness classes. In addition to being a multi-offering studio, TurF also has a retail space, and more importantly, a cafe where you can grab a post-class coffee, fuel up with a TurF bowl or rehydrate with a smoothie or cold pressed juice. All food and beverage is vegan and made in-house. (Try the New Green Party Smoothie with a spirulina booster!)

With its beautiful brick-walled studio in Gastown, One Yoga is an intimate space that is popular with locals and visitors alike. Known for its use of the lion in its logo, One Yoga also has sister studios in Victoria, Saskatoon, and Trinidad. Founder Ryan Leier is a true builder of community and is also a lululemon Global Ambassador. A Vinyasa class with him is not to be missed, nor are any of the events and workshops that are offered.
