Now that you’ve had a chance to sort out your 2020 Vancouver wellness bucket list for January to June, it’s time to plan ahead for the rest of the year. (I know. It’s not even Spring yet, but it’s never to early to mark your calendar for something fun!) Wellness comes in many forms, and there’s something unique for everyone throughout the year.

Run, yoga, party at the SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Sunset Festival (August 15)

Yoga, run, party! SeaWheeze isn’t your average half marathon. In fact, it may just be the most breathtakingly beautiful and ridiculously fun half marathon in the world. Over 10,000 runners descend on Vancouver to sweat it out over a weekend of yoga, running, and of course, one hell of an awesome party. Get that last hike in

As the weather becomes a touch crisper, get your step on and take in the autumn views. With the North Shore mountains and Squamish only short distances away from the city, hiking is very accessible from Vancouver. Popular hikes include the Grouse Grind, Squamish Chief and Mt, Seymour. Vancouverites love the November long weekend, not just because of the extra day, but because that’s when the Circle Craft Christmas Market takes over the Vancouver Convention Centre. Hit the slopes of the North Shore mountains

Winter-sport enthusiasts can’t come to Vancouver in the winter and not strap on a snowboard or some skis. Mountain sports are also excellent cardio. Cypress MountainGrouse Mountain and Mt Seymour are all short drives or an easy transit ride from the downtown core. Choose your adventure and zip down the mountain with tree and city skyline views.

Walk the holiday lights

There is nothing that this writer loves more than to walk around VanDusen Botanical Garden or take in the Capilano Suspension Bridge Canyon Lights during the holiday season. Walking the holiday lights is a lovely respite of the hustle and bustle of Christmas time, and you’ll leave with fantastic photos and feeling full of holiday spirit. Stay tuned for more info!
